About SheSteps
SheSteps is a nonprofit dedicated to ending period poverty and reducing cervical cancer, particularly in India. The organization provides eco-friendly sanitary products, educates on menstrual hygiene, and promotes HPV vaccination to prevent cervical cancer, the fourth most common cancer in women.
With vaccination rates below 10% for eligible Indian girls aged 9–14 due to low awareness and cultural stigma, SheSteps addresses these barriers while fostering sustainable menstrual practices. By empowering women and tackling preventable diseases, SheSteps strives for a healthier, more equitable world.
